We are very excited to announce that Orthodent Lab is taking the next step in digital orthodontics by providing your practice with digital study models. We are bringing the study model back to the lab, and with over 30 years of experience pouring and trimming study models, we have learned a thing or two and can bring that same knowledge and expertise into the digital realm.
So why use Orthodent Lab for your digital models?
- We are offering a very competitive introductory rate of $20 per set for a rough model scan and $25 for a cleaned up, blemish free model with bases
- When you send in your impression or model to run through the digital system, we can take that same model or impression and use it for an appliance without skipping a beat. No more double impressions!
- We really think you will like this part! We are offering the work model free of charge if used in conjunction with digital models. So what does that mean? You can send us an impression and we will pour it up for the digital model process and then use for your appliance, and you will save the work model charge. That is now over $7 in savings from our already low price. And if you add your volume discount for those who qualify, you can be paying as little as $11.50 per set!
- As always you will receive free shipping to and from the lab. (If shipping the case please use 5 day 120 hour alginate or a PVS)
- Free Storage and back up of every case! Other labs charge a fee to store your models. Since the digital model is tightly integrated with easyrx, you can download and view your models with the patients file anytime. With easyrx powering the process you can have an organized patient file with easy access to their rx’s, digital models, and other uploaded files you wish to add such as photos, x-rays, or .stl files and we store the information for free. Why is that benefit? No need to store and backup these large files, and if you do but your system is compromised by a fire or a system failure, you can rely on Orthodent Lab to make sure your files are secure and safe.
- No Start-Up Fee
- The files you receive are .stl files. That means that the files we give you are open and yours to keep and can be opened in any 3d viewer (we do provide an excellent viewer to download though), as opposed to the other guys who give you a file that can only be opened with their software. The difference is an open format vs. a closed proprietary format. The open standard .stl files can be used for viewing and sent off for digital model printing as well. A question for the big study model houses: If they are the doctor’s digital files, then why are they sent to them in a closed format when there is an open 3d format available? Answer, if they keep you within their format, then you are trapped in their service.
Make the switch to ODL and see what a difference we can make.
