Splints
Splints are used to help with bruxism and to help relieve TMJ discomfort. ODL offers multiple splint applications, depending on the severity of the symptoms. If minor discomfort is present, a standard splint can be used. This can also help in the relief of bruxism. For more severe symptoms, such as anteriorly displaced discs, the anterior guidance (Dawson Splint), repositioning, or deprogrammer splint is recommended.
At Orthodent Lab we use an ultra-clear, non-yellowing acrylic resin shown by CIE color measurements to be the clearest acrylic available. Period. The exceptional clarity of our Splint Acrylic makes it the perfect choice for esthetic-conscious patients.
Note: When sending a splint case, please be sure to provide accurate models and a bite registration to aid in accuracy.
